American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Santa Monica is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Santa Monica follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Every day is more wonderful with a visit to Randy's Donuts. There is a wide variety of donut offerings and cronuts too. Loads of drinks and milks to go with your treat. My group had the mini donuts, plain cake and old fashioned which were delightful. We sat outside which is the only option for enjoying on site. The workers had great customer service skills and made for a great visit and first time experience at Randy's. I hope to be back!

The donuts tasted so fresh. The raspberry filling tasted like the berries had been picked off the vine and prepared that morning. The maple bar was light and fluffy, too. The maple frosting was thick and delicious. Best donuts I've had in soCal. I'll definitely stop by next time I'm in the area.

Got the maple donut and loved it! These donuts are so good and so affordable! In NYC, a good donut is 3x as much.

Walking in and seeing the donut case, the donuts looked delicious. They're bigger and that made us think, oh They're gonna be heavy. We were so suprise to be able to eat them whole. They felt like a cloud. Comparable to krispy creme in airyness. We tried the Nutella donut and glaze twist. The Nutella donut was not sweet at all. Chocolatey for sure but very tolerable. Amazing. The glaze twist was on the sweeter side though. Other than the donuts, you can get lattes, iced coffees, regulars, lemonade, and breakfast sandwiches. They also have merch, and a wall with photos which makes a lovely photo spot! The staff were super super friendly. Totally recommend!

I grew up in Inglewood with the original Randyβs before it became really famous. Aside from the Inglewood location, I tried them at Resorts World in Las Vegas and they were amazing!! I was really excited to try the Santa Monica location but was disappointed. First, when we walked in the smell was off, not a sweet donut smell at all but a stale odor filled the air. Customer service was good, we were greeted by someone who walked in from the back, he nice. We purchased a variety of donuts, about one dozen. All, and I do mean ALL of them had a stale/old frying oil taste. We tried to force it and eat them anyway because we know theyβre good donuts but we just couldnβt. The texture was good, like these couldβve really been good donuts, the potential was there but they used old oil which unfortunately made them unappetizing. Maybe it was an off day, maybe the cook did something not normally done etcβ¦. I do not know but what I do know is they messed up. These donuts are far to expensive and have to great of a legacy to be fried in old/stale oil. I recommend going to another location.
